Transport

Brentwood is nestled in greenbelt on the edge of London, and a short journey of only just over 30 minutes by TFL will reconnect you to the buzz of London’s city life and its attractions.

Shenfield, a popular leafy suburb of Brentwood, is also a quick commute of around 20 minutes into Liverpool Street Station, London.  West Horndon is another suburb with good commuting access to London Fenchurch Street Station.

The London orbital road, M25, is easily accessed just 2 miles south-west of Brentwood, while the A12 bypasses Brentwood town linking commuters easily to Stratford East London.  The M11, just one junction down the M25, leads to major destinations, such as Cambridge, in little over an hour.  The A12 is also a major artery going through to Colchester, the ports of Harwich, Felixstowe, Ipswich, Lowestoft and finally Great Yarmouth in East Anglia.

International commuters and holidaymakers can use the upgraded international airport of Southend, a quick and easy journey from either Brentwood town rail station or Shenfield train station.

Well-served by the M25, A12, and A127 road network, Brentwood high street, and just under half an hour to the City of London by train, Brentwood is ideal as a base from which to enjoy Essex and the Capital.

Leisure

Brentwood’s numerous country parks are havens for nature-lovers, walkers and families alike. For some fun with the kids, Thorndon Country Park is home to the famous Gruffalo Trail and Weald Country Park to the Stickman Play Trail. Or for those looking for adventure activities, head to Rope Runners for some high-wire fun in the trees, or try your hand at skiing or go-karting.

For some retail therapy, Brentwood is a must-visit destination, as are the High Streets of Shenfield and Ingatestone. Independent shops and popular restaurants, along with a vibrant club scene make Brentwood an exciting place to live in.

For history lovers, the 16th Century Ingatestone Hall is still home to the Petre family, who hosted Elizabeth I on several occasions, whilst the Secret Nuclear Bunker is an eerily fascinating, subterranean reminder of the Cold War era.
